Dragonball Z: Majin Buu (Fat)

Another piece of work, again experimenting with colouring using pencils. This time I chose yet another villain (Who happens to be my favourite) Majin Buu, the fat incarnation which was the first to fight the Z Warriors in the series.

Dragonball Z: Perfect Cell

I chose to draw some existing characters to begin with when experimenting with colours. In the past, I've chosen simple tonal shading instead of colour because it ended up ruining my work and consequently meant hours of wasted work.
I chose to draw Perfect Cell (due to my preference to drawing villains, c'mon they are much more fun!) This shot is actually one that I freeze framed from the show and sketched. I think it really captures the moment of rage, frustration and fear when Cell realises that Gohan is far superior to him.

Character Design: Kitangus Bao Jun

Also Known As: Kit
Age: Twenty-nine years old
Height: 5"9

Build: Kit has quite a small build, which contrasts his actual strength which far exceeds what you would expect of him. When a situation arises where brute strength is essential, Kit can use a Yan Monk spell named "Vivanate" to increase his size tenfold. However, Kit is strongly against using it unless the situation appears to be hopeless, because he can barely control his actions when in this form.

Family: Kit was discovered as an infant outside the Rusin Cathedral by Father Elias. It was clear that his birth mother had abandoned him, and so he was taken in and raised under the supervision of the Yan Monks.

Likes: Kit enjoys spending time alone to meditate and hone his abilities in order to become stronger, as opposed to actually partaking in real battles. Additionally, Kit enjoys reading, writing, fishing and painting which is often questioned by L.V. who cannot understand Kit's compassion for these hobbies.

Dislikes: Kit dislikes too much noise surrounding him, which creates a rift between L.V. and himself because of the formers loud and vocal nature. Just like L.V. Kit Despises the Foxes, but not to the same extent and has a much greater hatred for the Frog Tribe from which he descends, particularly the one known as Rathius Drake for personal reasons.

Attitude (in a phrase): "No. I do not fight unless I feel the need to, such is the way of a Yan Monk."
Quotes: "The world is but a chessboard and we, the pieces...and eventually the game must draw to a close...Only one side victorious"; "Very well I shall accept your challenge, but I must warn you...I will hold nothing back."

Character: Life growing up in the Rusin Cathedral proved very tough but also rewarding for Kitangus. His superiors noted how quickly his power advanced as he learned more and more Yan Monk abilities. Learning the Vivante technique at the age of twenty-five proved to the Monks he had great potential, as he was, by far, the youngest person to ever learn the technique. Kit looked as though he may soon have got to grips with controlling the Vivante, but fate it seems had different plans for him.

Rathius Drake, a warrior from the Frog Tribe from which Kit descended, visited him at Rusin Cathedral and struck up a friendship with the gullible Monk. Kit secretly showed Rathius around the cathedral over the following weeks (knowing fully that only Yan Monks are permitted to enter its hallowed ground.) and believed he had finally found someone to be his friend.

However, Rathius was revealed to be scouting for easy attack routes into the cathedral when the Frog Tribe launched a full assault on Rusin. The Monks managed to drive the Frog Warriors away but suffered many casualties, including Father Elias who treated Kit as though he were his own son. Kit was soon exiled when they discovered his involvement in the whole affair and feeling betrayed and brokenhearten, he travelled the world. This was when he met L.V....

Character Design: Largo Von Lupine

Also Known As: L.V.
Age: Seventeen years old

Height: 6"4

Build: Largo is of medium build, and keeps himself fit by battling with wild creatures, particularly those in and around the Emettor Wastelands.

Family: Largo is the youngest of thirteen children born to Abel and Adali Von Lupine. His other siblings are named (in chronological order): Randolph, Oscar, Guida, Walten, Rosa, Blaze, Auril, Frieja, Hamlet, Riddick, Gunilla and Rogerio.

Likes: As Largo says himself, "It's hard to find anything more thrilling than a good battle, I guarentee it." This can basically sum up Largos day to day life. He loves travelling and living off the land as he goes.

Dislikes: Unlike the majority of his kin, Largo detests vegetables and prefers to eat red and white meat, much to the disgust of all his family, excluding Blaze, who shares Largos taste for meat. Largo also has a strong hatred for Short-Stock Silver, a fox creature that has terrorised L.V.'s adventures since they encountered each other in Jahnon Port.

Attitude (in a phrase): "You're goin' to hell you son of a bitch, even if it means I'll be sittin' on Doomtrain next to ya!"

Quotes: "So cus' I'm a Rabbit you think you can bribe me with a carrot?...Now you've just pissed me off"; "Short-Stack really gives me the creeps man, I freeze whenever I see him, must be the Fox/Rabbit thing".

Character: L.V. and his twelve siblings were raised in the Rabbit community of Tustox by their loving parents. When he was growing up, L.V.'s parents started to worry about his rejection of vegetables and his love of the blade, which their people viewed as "a sinful path to take." However, Largo was not the only member of his family to become attracted to battle: Blaze, Riddick and even his sister Frieja also became fixed.

Largo started to travel around the world, knowing the dangers he faced, particularly from wild Foxes, Fox bandits and most fearsome of all, The Fox Warriors. During His travels, L.V. met up with an exiled Yan Monk named Kitangus and they soon became the best of friends. With Largos sword skills and Kits Alpha Magic combined, the danger posed by the outside world was steadily decreased.

After several run-ins with Short-Stack Silver and feeling their journey must now serve a purpose, L.V. and Kit head towards Denitor, where they plan to take their first step, on the path to destroying the Fox Warriors reign of terror on the world...
